2019 River Valley Ride

In celebration of PA Trails Month, join us on September 28th for the 2019 River Valley Ride. This 10.5-mile bike ride will showcase the connected paths of the greater Williamsport Area, beginning in Montourville's Indian Park and ending at the South Williamsport Community Park. At the end of the ride you'll have opportunities to enjoy food trucks and information booths to learn more about the biking opportunities in and around Lycoming County.

When: September 28, 2019

Where: Indian Park, Montoursville (start)

  South Williamsport Community Park (end)

Biking distance: 10.5 miles

Registration: Tickets are just $10 / person; event t-shirt available for additional charge.

Schedule of Events
(tentative):

9:00 AM: Registration opens at the South Williamsport Community Park. Participants will check-in and visit the partner village. A shuttle will take participants and their bikes to Indian Park in Montoursville for the 10.5-mile ride, and families with young children will remain in South Williamsport Community Park for the children’s ride and the bike rodeo.   

10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony. Participants will be welcomed to the event, a brief overview of the day will be given, and a safety talk for the day will be presented. Following the ‘housekeeping’ remarks, a short presentation from a Borough representative will follow.   

10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Participants will pedal from Indian Park following the Montoursville Bikeway, they will then connect to the Loyalsock Bikeway, and finally joining the Susquehanna River Walk in Williamsport. Once on the River Walk, participants will bike the length of the northern shore crossing the Maynard Street Bridge and continuing along the southern shore to South Williamsport Community Park.    

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Partner village and food vendors.
