Groundbreaking for New Public River Access in Jersey Shore
Please join the Borough of Jersey Shore for a groundbreaking ceremony to be held on Friday October 3, 2014 at 10:30am at the Public Boat Launch site just off of Front Street in the Borough of Jersey Shore.
After almost 4 years and substantial efforts, the Borough of Jersey Shore has awarded the public river access project to Mid-State Paving and they expect to begin Phase I of the construction the beginning of October 2014.
The Borough of Jersey Shore is excited to see this project commence and is thankful to all of the organizations that have provided funding for this project including the National Park Service – Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources – Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania, Lycoming County Visitors Bureau, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, Chesapeake Conservancy and many local individual and business donors who gave nearly $50,000 through their generous donations.
The Borough of Jersey Shore will also be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at the completion of this great project in the spring of 2015.
