On New Years Eve, (before the unique, local countdown to the new year with a sled drop) Duncannon revelers checked out the newly installed Greenway River Town and Greenway Orientation panels that provide information on the natural and cultural resources in the area, as well as information about the Susquehanna Greenway and the river's connection to the Chesapeake Bay. The signs can be viewed from the parking lot of the Old Sled Works. Appalachian Trail Panels and signs for the Pittsburg-to-Harrisburg Main Line Canal Greenway will follow this spring. Read more, and see photos at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy blog here.

The panels were made possible by a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network and the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
