The Susquehannocks were some of the first people to inhabit the area around the Susquehanna River and its tributaries. Although evidence of their presence along the river can be difficult to find today, H. Frank Eshleman’s book, Annals of the Susquehannocks and Other Indian Tribes of Pennsylvania 1500-1763, includes many historical papers and accounts that give readers an insight into what the lives of these people may have been like when they called the Susquehanna region home.

Look for Eshleman's book at your local bookstore or library. Additionally, copies can be found through different online retailers.
